Obituary


Sinclair Wall passed away on May 17, 2017. He grew up in Middletown, New York, where he was born on January 15, 1929.

After high school he joined the Marines and was assigned to guard the Panama Canal. While there he started studying Spanish, which became a lifelong pursuit where he enjoyed conversing in Spanish.

Sinclair went to college at the University of New Mexico where he received his BA. He received a Masters degree in education at the University of Chicago. For 30 years he was an instructor at Moorpark College...

His survivors include his wife Elsie, son Daniel, wife Christine and children Lucas and Alison; daughter Terri, husband Robert and children Tyler and Lauren Hanawalt. Steve Wall, his son, passed away in 2015. Steve is survived by his wife, Katee.

For many years Sinclair enjoyed playing tennis and liked swimming at the Pierpont Club. He was a longtime Toastmaster. He joined the Unitarian Universalist Church and was an active member for almost 50 years. Sinclair lived his life to its fullest and will be dearly missed by his friends and family.
